Remembering Frank Bartholomew Salisbury

Frank Bartholomew Salisbury, age 91, of Allendale passed away peacefully on Friday, March 8, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Seldon and Gladys (Bartholomew) Salisbury; first wife, Elaine; second wife, Linda; daughter, Debra Salisbury; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Nancy Salisbury; sisters and brother-in-laws, Dona and Roy Jeffrey, Delores and Wayne Mackey, Joy and Paul Popke, and Bethyl and Albert Holmes. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 7 years, Mary Jane Salisbury; sons, Jeffery and Kim Salisbury, Frank Jr. and Jayne Salisbury; daughter, Sally and Kevin Carroll; step-sons, Curtis and Stephanie Benaway, and Robert Benaway; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Frank proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. Frank was a faithful and active member and deacon at Grand Valley Baptist Church and Allendale Baptist Church. He was a self-supported missionary with Send International in the Philippines and he was active in missions around the world with His Hands. Funeral services will be held on March 14, 2024, at 11:00 am at Allendale Baptist Church, 6262 Lake Michigan Drive, Allendale, with Pastors Mark Green and Larry Salisbury officiating. The burial will be held at Rosedale Memorial Park Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Wednesday, March 13, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf, 6651 Scott St., Allendale, and from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice or Allendale Baptist Church.
