Frank Barker

BARKER - Frank "Bud" N. Barker, Waasabikozii, aged 24 passed away peacefully Thursday, August 23, 2018. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Persphone; Nana, Carol Barker; aunt, Jessica Bonilla; uncle, Willie Barker. Surviving are his mother, Jennifer Gann (fiancé Michael Marquart); father, Frank (Christine Mitchell) Barker; sister, Rebecca Rupe; brother, Finneas Mitchell; nieces, Arianna and Marcy (due in November); grandmother, Patricia Burfield; grandfathers, Charles Barker and Don Gann; brother-in-law, Dave Zapta; along with many aunts, uncles, friends and countless family members. Bud graduated from Dowagiac Union High School where he was a member of the band. Bud collected martial arts weapons, comic books, crafting and enjoyed fishing. Bud was proud of his Native heritage and participated in many Pow wow's. Bud loved his family, enjoyed working at his Grandpa Barkers fry bread stand, and spending time with his little brother and niece. A Memorial Service will be held 12:00 Noon Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at the Luella Collins Center, 419 - 126th Ave, Shelbyville, MI 49344.
