KLOTT - Mr. Frank (Francis) Klott. After eighty-five years of free roaming, Frank left this world wrapped in the arms of his Lord to spend eternity in his new home in Heaven on July 12, 2011 with his beloved wife Pat of 39 years, his cherished son and pal Forrest, and his Daughter-in-law Caralyn whom he adored at his side. He is also survived by his brother, Alfred (Charmaine) Klott of Herman, MO; and his sisters, Dottie Bokan of Albuquerque, NM, and Esther (Pat) Davis of Vancouver, BC; dear 63rd Infantry comrade and friend, Vernon (India) Rathburn. A recipient of the Bronze Star, he is also preceded in death by his comrades with whom he valiantly served alongside in France and Germany in the 63rd Infantry Division "Blood and Fire" of the 3rd Army in World War II. A hero to many, Frank lived each day with integrity, honor and above all a strong faith in the Lord and touched many lives. He was a passionate sportsman and life-long member of the Kent County Conservation League and South Kent Sportsman's Club. Along with his wife he was also honored for serving Michigan United Conservation Clubs, which he did for over fifty years fighting to protect the rights of sportsmen and women. After working for Michigan Lithograph in Grand Rapids for 37 years, he retired to drive for Duthler Ford. In his last years he enjoyed tending his flowers and spending his days with his best buddy, his grand dog Truman.
