SCHRIPSEMA – Frances (Faber) Schripsema, aged 93 went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 29, 2015. She was born to Frank and Antonia (Boonstra) Faber in Hinton, Iowa, graduated from Doon Christian School and then moved with her family to Grand Rapids. Frances was married nearly 70 years to Herman Schripsema who preceded her in death in 2014. She was a committed Christian and a loving, dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Herman (Nancy) Schripsema, Linda (Henry Visscher) Schripsema, and Faye Walburg; her grandchildren, Jeff (Kara) Schripsema, Kris (Erron) Boes; her great-grandchildren, Nicole, Jacob and Kate Schripsema, John Shafer and Delaney Boes. She is also survived by her siblings, Freda Faber, Art (Virginia) Faber, Nellie (John) Grasmeyer; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gerald (Sherlene) Schripsema, Jeannette Koert, Robert Cornelisse, Nella Faber, Esther (Matt) Woudenberg; also many dear nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Willie Faber, Ted (Ida) Faber, Jennie (Cornelius) Klaver, Elizabeth (Clarence) Bouwkamp, Antonette (Carl) Storm, Gerard Faber, Harriet Cooper, William Faber and Evelyn Cornelisse; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Henry (Anne) Schripsema, Corrine (Joe) Alderink, William VanSprange. Funeral services for Frances will be held Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 12 noon at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Chapel (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE with a luncheon to follow. Pastor Allan Jongsma officiating. Interment in Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Members of the family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10:30 until 12 noon. Memorial contributions may be given to World Renew – Disaster Response Services, 400 – 76th St. SW, Suite #17, Byron Center, MI 49315 or a charity of one’s choice.

Linda and Faye, God bless you for taking such good care of your Mother as she prepared to leave this world. It's never easy no matter how long they are with us. Your Mom had to be very proud of her two daughters.
