Frances L. Fiers

Frances L. “Fran” Fiers aged 88 of Wyoming, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 11, 2017. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 70 years, Pete; children, Patricia Fiers, Rick (Rita) Fiers, Linda (Tom) Damstra, Pam (Gary) Adler; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter; brother, David (Judi) Bass; sister-in-law, Marilyn Stark. Funeral services for Fran will be held Tuesday at 11 am at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Chapel (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE with Pastor Dean Wheeler officiating. Interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Members of the family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6 - 8 pm. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Wedgwood Christian Services or the Make A Wish Foundation of Michigan (Grand Rapids Chapter).

Uncle Pete and family, our hearts break for your loss and the hole left in your hearts . Yet at the same time we rejoice at the very thought of Aunt Fran in the very presence of our Lord and Savior . For every life has a purpose to fill, a purpose which us humans can seldom infer. She was a gift from heaven, whose purpose was to make this world understand what love, friendship, goodness, and humbleness was all about. Goodness belongs to heaven, and I know she is watching from there, May her soul rest in peace.
