Frances Koning

Frances Koning, age 86, of Grand Rapids, was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jerry and Cathy Koning, John and Cathy Koning, Joanne and Rev. Dale VanDyke, and Jim Koning; 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia DeVries; brothers-in-law: Otto and Alta Koning, Casper and Norma Koning, John and Susan Koning, Jackie and Nelson Lemon; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, James Koning; granddaughter, Jolene Koning, sister and brother, Audrey Reitsma, Tom (Theresa) Reitsma; brother-in-law, Gerald DeVries; and sister-in-law, Carol Koning. Funeral services will be livestreamed 11 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2021, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, Grandville, with Rev. Dale VanDyke officiating. Burial will be held at Garfield Park Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Due to gathering restrictions, there will be a limit on the number of people who may enter the building at a time.
