Frances A. Diephouse

DIEPHOUSE – Frances A. (Elslo) Diephouse of Grand Rapids passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015. She was the loving daughter of Ralph and Libby Elslo and was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sidney and her precious granddaughter, Meredith A. Diephouse. Fran is survived by her children, Pat and Jim Knott, Tim and Amy Diephouse; grandchildren, Ben and Courtney Stuart, Matthew Knott, Hillary Diephouse, Gabrielle Diephouse as well as her special friend, Bill Kamstra. She graduated from Calvin College and was an elementary school teacher for the Grand Rapids Public Schools. She will be remembered as a loving wife and as a mother and grandmother who gave of herself willingly and cheered all those around her. A private burial has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Chapel (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE. Friends may meet with the family from 1 pm until the time of the service. Memorial contributions to Mission India or Grand Rapids Christian Elementary School would be appreciated.
