Floyd Lee VanKampen, age 81, of Wayland, passed away peacefully at Railside Living Center on Monday, January 2, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Enno and Hermina VanKampen; son, Jeffrey VanKampen; sister and brother-in-law, Judy (Harry) Hobbs; brothers, David VanKampen, and Jerry VanKampen; and brother-in-law, Ron Jacobsen. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy (Larry) Carrier; son, Mike (Deb) VanKampen; granddaughters, Jennifer VanKampen, Kelli (Ben) Werkman, Erin Carrier (Nate Bowman), Nicole VanKampen (Tyler Pike), Allison VanKampen; grandson, Bryan (Kayla) VanKampen; brother, Gary (Kathy) VanKampen; sister, Sandy Jacobsen; and sister-in-law, Carol VanKampen. Floyd enjoyed his time with friends and especially his time on his Harley. The family wants to thank the staff at Railside Living Center for their kind devotion to Floyd. Additionally, the family wishes to thank Cindy with Kindred Hospice for her guidance through this difficult time. Words cannot explain how grateful we are. In accordance with Floyd’s wishes, he was cremated and there will be a graveside service at a later date.
