Fernley Justin Alofs

Fernley Justin Alofs, age 84, of Jenison, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 23, 2015. He was the former president of Alofs Manufacturing Company. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 66 years, Eleanor; children, Sharon and Dr. Philip Hoekstra, Jan and Phil Plasman, Ron and Donna Alofs; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Jucille VanLangen, Anetta and Donald VanderJagt, Geneva and Dave Atkins; sister-in-law, Nellie Bouwkamp; brother-in-law, Mike and Terri Borduin. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gaylord Alofs and his sister, Doris Taatjes. Funeral services will be held on Monday 11 AM at Christ Memorial Church, 595 Graafschap Road, Holland, with Rev. William Boersma officiating. Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 2-5 PM at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW and Monday from 10:00-10:45 AM prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Sunset Communities Resident Benevolence Fund.

To the Alofs Family: I had the privilege of working for Alofs Manufacturing after it was sold but while Fernley was still there as VP of Sales. I was very appreciative of how thoughtful he was and how much he enjoyed the interaction with his employees.
