Evelyn Viola Potgeter

Evelyn Viola (Myers) Potgeter, age 83, of Allendale, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 12, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Dale Potgeter; son, Gary Dale Potgeter; granddaughter, Courtney Jo Potgeter; great granddaughter, Avery Kae Potgeter; and siblings, Lillian, Dorothy, Ernie and Frank.  She will be greatly missed by her sons, David (Cyndi) Potgeter, Tom (Kae) Potgeter; 4 granddaughters, Katie, Kari, Andrea (Josh) Thurkettle, Brianna (Adam) Arends; 3 great grandchildren, Kylee Thorsen, Camerin Arends, and Peyton Arends; and several nieces and nephews. She was widely known for her delicious baked goods which she delivered to many of her close friends and family members throughout the Allendale area.  A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 1 PM at First Allendale Christian Reformed Church, 5734 Country View, Allendale, with Rev. Tim Howerzyl officiating.  Interment Allendale Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family during a memorial visitation on Monday from 7-9 PM at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice.
