Evelyn Vander Weide, age 88, of Jenison, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 16, 2024. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Donald Krueger. Evelyn is lovingly remembered by her husband of 67 years, Maynard “Mike”; children, Sherri Krueger, Mark and Robin Vander Weide, Jim and Karen Vander Weide, Donna Faber; grandchildren, Nicole and Rudy Fleminger, Dana and Ryan Hartman, Justin and Jamie Krueger, Theresa Coleman, Tania and Matt Judd, Mark Vander Weide, Jr., Amber and Devon Wustman, Brandon and Caitlin Vander Weide, Caleb and Meaghan Vander Weide, Adam Faber, Christin and Andy Luchies, Erin Faber, Genny and Isaac Stevens; 15 great-grandchildren; special foster son, Marshall and Mary Foster; sister-in-law Carol Koetje; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Ron Baker officiating. Burial will take place at Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Friday from 10-10:45 am prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Sunset Legacy Foundation.
