Evelyn Mae Rodgers

Evelyn Mae Rodgers, age 93, of Caledonia, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 28, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents Jacob and Josephine Brunsink; husband of 64 years, George Rodgers; brothers, Floyd Brunsink and Jerry Brunsink. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Wayne and Patricia Rodgers, Lee and Norah Rodgers, Ila and Daniel Matteson; 6 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister, Ellen June Jones; sister-in-law, Donna Brunsink and many nieces and nephews. Evelyn’s faith was a big part of her life. She was very involved with church activities whether participating in ladies bible study groups or teaching Sunday school. She was an active partner of her family farm, Cal-E-View Dairy, organizing the books or feeding the calves, and was a member of the Women’s Farm Bureau. Before George’s passing in 2015, she also enjoyed traveling to Texas during the Michigan winters. Evelyn will be remembered for her faith, and her care for her family. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, February 4 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 616 E. Main St. SE, Caledonia, with Rev. Daryl Crawford officiating. Interment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, February 3, from 4-7pm at the funeral home, as well as Friday from 12-12:45 prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Peace Church of Middleville or Mel Trotter Ministries.
