Evelyn Kleinjans, age 91, of Allendale went to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 23, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben; three grandsons; and one great granddaughter. Evelyn will be lovingly remembered by her children, Sheri and Ron Oppenhuizen, Glennie and Tracey Bruursema, Roger and Wanda Kleinjans, Stan and Debbie Kleinjans, Darl and Mary Jane Kleinjans, Connie and Joe Warren; 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sister, Carol Ruster; and many nieces and nephews. She was known for her heart of gold, always seeing the good in everyone. Evelyn loved her family dearly, as well as every person who crossed her path. The family of Evelyn would like to thank the wonderful staff at Resthaven for their loving and compassionate care. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Allendale), 6651 Scott Street, with Pastor Leigh VanKempen officiating. Interment Allendale Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Resthaven Care Center.
