Evelyn “Evie” Beute-Grasmeyer, age 88, was peacefully called home to Jesus as her family sang her into Heaven on Saturday, November 16, 2024. Evie was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was blessed with a loving heart and always put others before herself. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed the fun and laughter of being with her family and friends. Over the years, she enjoyed spending time up at the cabin in Baldwin with her family and wintering in Florida where she was blessed with a great community of friends. Above all, her love for family and her example of faith was evident to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family as well as by many friends, relatives, and acquaintances that she made by living a full and active life. 

Evie was preceded in death by her first husband of 49 years, Roger Beute, and her great-grandson, Dylan Roger Bluml. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 12 years, Arthur Grasmeyer; children, Judy and Paul Coolsen, Kathy and Loren Parmeter, Diane and Mike Batts, Nancy and Kevin Kamphuis, Nicholas and Audrey Beute; 30 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; Art’s children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Shaw; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Donald and Eleanor Beute, Kenneth and Jennie Beute, and Carm Styf.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Cottonwood Church, 1101 Cypress Dr. Jenison, 49428 with Rev. Matthew Palsrok officiating. Burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Tuesday from 4-8 pm at Cottonwood Church.
