Evangelista Felipe Aguirre

Felipe was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; daughter, Christine Aguirre; siblings, Sency Aguirre and Ruben Aguirre. Surviving are his children, Dora (Abel) Barajas, Peter Ruben (Christina) Aguirre; 10 grandchildren, Victor, Hope, Chrissy, Joel, Linnea, Eliana, Katlyn, Moriah, Ethan and Grace; great-grandson, Aryon; siblings, Pedro, Christina, and Gladis. My uncle was a great man, we talked every single night. We talked about God, our family, his brother and my grandfather Ruben. At the time my family was going through a lot but my uncle gave me faith through the word of Christ. We were becoming bestfriends despite not seeing him since i was little in Venezuela. He was there for me when nobody else was and I am deeply grateful for that. My uncle left behind so many great memories to his family, his town and to his family name. I wish I could be there but unfortunately I could not afford the travel but I will one day travel to Grand Rapids and visit the family I found out about through my uncle. God bless everyone. I have so many happy memories of my dear, Uncle Felipe. My early childhood days, spent only four houses down the street from the Aguirre's, were happy ones. I don't ever remember him having a bad day, although I'm sure he must have. He was always happy and smiling and so glad to see me. I have memories of him loving to sing, working on cars in his driveway, his legendary asado grilled at John Ball Park near the pond, never being too busy to take time to sit down and visit, and loving God's word, his wife and children. He will be greatly missed! Elisabeth Wierenga

It was a great blessing to me to know and have fellowship with Bro Felipe. He was a man who loved God and walked simply before the Lord in integrity. I will never forget the days I spent with him and Bro William Hildreth ministering and rooming together in Argentina. We had a great time in the Lord and laughed a lot as Felipe spoke a special language all his own and he was always positive. No doubt he was probably ready to preach in Heaven upon arrival if the need was there. He will be missed.......but only temporarily. Soon we will be together. Daniel Tamburo
