What a lovely man he was. I played cards with him at the Senior Center and it was hard to find someone who could beat him. He was teaching me to play euchre and inspired a "go for it" attitude I didn't know I had. He will be missed.

I had the pleasure of meeting Eugene when my wife Linda made connections with him. I am grateful for the times and memories I had with him. He filled a "Dad void" that i had in my life at that time. I look forward to seeing him again some day in Heaven. I am honored to know Eugene thought so much of me. RIP Eugene Love Tony Austin

I am so sorry to hear about Gene’s passing. He was a big part of my childhood in LaGrange, IN. Gene worked with my grandpa and my dad for almost 30 years. Prior to that, Gene and Dad were good friends and served together in the Air Force and were stationed in Japan together. Gene was a very good man. God bless the family.
