Remembering Etty Hoekstra

Etty Hoekstra, age 90, of Grand Rapids, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 5, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Klaas and Anna VanderVeen; husband, Cornelius Hoekstra; and son, James Hoekstra. Surviving are a daughter, Anita Gwinn; and grandchildren. Burial has taken place at Rosedale Memorial Park. A special thank you to the staff at Medilodge and Fay Berger for their special care for Etty.

I MISS MS. ETTY, I USED TO WORK AT THE NURSING HOME IN WYOMING AND I ALLWAYS VISITED HER BEFORE I STARTED WORK, DURING AND ON MY WAY OUT, I WILL SIT WITH HER AND HAVE LONG TALKS WITH HER, I MISS THAT SO MUCH.
