VANDER LUGT - Mrs. Ethel Vander Lugt aged 89 of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord, on Friday, March 29, 2019, surrounded by her devoted family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her family who will miss her greatly. She delighted in making holidays special for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tunis "Tune" Vander Lugt; infant daughter, Kristi Lynn; parents, Bert and Martha Lemmen; sister-in-law, Elsie Lemmen; brothers-in-law, Jack Feddema and Bruce Stegenga. Surviving are her children, Sharlene (Jerry) Karsten, Vonnie (Ron) Hulst, Elaine (Rick) Dreyer, Bob (Vicki) Vander Lugt; grandchildren, Nathan , Stephanie Weesies, Heather (Noah) Menerey, Ben (Kelly) Hulst, Kate (Eric) Kern, Matt (Becca) Hulst, Dylan (Jaclyn) Dreyer, Rachael (Dave) Veldkamp, Justin, Jordan, Joshua Dreyer, Brad (Stephanie) Vander Lugt, Nick (Courtney) Vander Lugt, Hannah (Jon) Nieboer, Rebecca Vander Lugt; great grandchildren, Josiah, Anna, Audrey, Micah Menerey, Jacob, Lily, Ezra, Selah, Malachi Hulst, Emma, Zach, Adi Kern, Ellie, Kaylee, Isaac Hulst, Zoe, Liam, Odin, Ari Dreyer, Maddox, Collins, Cassuis Veldkamp, Evelyn, Ruth Vander Lugt, Gabrielle Nieboer; brothers, Bern Lemmen, Maurie (Lorraine) Lemmen; sisters, Bea Feddema, Norma (Klaas) Stegenga Kapteyn; brother-in-law, Fred Vander Lugt, many nieces and nephews. Together Tune and Ethel owned and operated Modern Hardware where she retired from after 38 years. She was a member of East Paris CRC for 59 years. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at East Paris Christian Reformed Church, 3065 East Paris Ave. SE. Her family will greet relatives and friends prior to the service at Church beginning at 9:30AM. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to World Renew. Interment Rosedale Memorial Park.
