Esther Marilyn (Cooper) Wiersma, age 85, of Jenison, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 20, 2018, and she is fine! She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wiersma. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Mary and Brian Van Zanten, Marcia Wiersma, Jane and Jim Krol, Barbara and Terry Kowalewsky, Sally and Daniel Klyn; grandchildren, Nicholas Van Zanten, Ellen and Jason Paulin, Joan and Chris DeBoer, Peter and Sara Krol, Corrie and Jon Letko, Grace and Dan Lee, Dana Krol, Mae Kowalewsky, Madelaine Kowalewsky, Charlotte Klyn, Cooper Klyn, Gerrit Klyn; great-grandchildren, Henrik, Lilah, Lucy, Jacob, Max, and Ava; sister, Mildred Hinken; brother, James Cooper; sister-in-law, Connie Wiersma; and several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Mark Bennink and Rev. Jim Evenhouse officiating. Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Benjamin’s Hope.
