Mrs. Esther J. VanderJagt aged 80 of Grand Rapids, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, February 1, 2011. She was preceded in death by her son, Leonard; siblings, Pauline (Ferle) Cisler, Katherine (Justin) Boerman, Al (Rita) Seif, Rich Seif, her twin sister, Ethel (Jess) Cole, Pete Seif, Bob (Carol) Seif; sisters-in-law, Florence (Bert) Camferman, Cora (Ron) Scherencel, Phylis VanderJagt and Loraine (Ray) Bulthuis. Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Leonard; children, Judy (Bill) Kuiper, Ken (Cindy) VanderJagt, Michelle (Scott) Stegenga; grandchildren, Jamie (Becky) Kuiper, Eric (Katie) Kuiper, Missy (Derrell) Jackson, Yvonne (Julio) Paguada, Marcy (Dan) Hickman, Theresa and Chelsea VanderJagt, Derek, Courtney, Brittany and Ashley Stegenga; thirteen great grandchildren; brother, Herman (Jane) Seif; sister, Gertrude (Bruce) Beard; sisters-in-law, Joanne and Jean Seif; also surviving are Leonard's siblings, Floyd VanderJagt, Ellen Rozema, Marian (Gordon) Alderink, Donald (Lori) VanderJagt, Elizabeth (Jim) Baker, Ken (Grace) VanderJagt, Nancy Torgerson, Rodger (Cheryl) VanderJagt; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Remembrance Reformed Church, 4575 Remembrance Road NW., with Rev. Vern Vander Werff officiating. Her family will greet relatives and friends Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE., and one hour prior to the service at Church on Saturday.
