Esther Jean Carr, age 85, of Walker, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022, surrounded by her family. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 66 years, Glenn; children, Don (Denise) Carr, Chris (Dave) Tilma, Betty (Tim) Jansma, Robert Carr, Andy (Sharon) Carr, daughter-in-law, Brenda Carr; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Donald (Ginny) Jackson. Jean was preceded in death by her son, Ron Carr. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Tuesday from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

Glenn and family. I am so sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of when I was a young boy in cub scouts and the good times that I had at the Carr house when Jean was my den leader and the great snacks that she made for us all. She was a special lady, and a great addition to our neighborhood. She will be missed. Tom Wells

Im so sad I will not be able to make the funeral because of military orders. My condolences and wow what an amazing women and amazing family. She always welcomed me with happiness and positivity. I’m so fortunate I got to know her, Glen and the amazing Carr family. I love you guys.
