Ester McDonough

MC DONOUGH (ROCKFORD) - Mrs. Ester McDonough, aged 101, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Mary Tetzlaff; brother, Arthur Tetzlaff; sisters, Margreth Tetzlaff and Elinor Meerman and her husband, Thomas. She is survived by her children Michael (Kay) McDonough, Patrice (Larry) Sakala; grandchildren, Brian and Bradley McDonough, Kathryn and Andrew Sakala. Ester was a teacher in elementary schools in Mecosta County and Oakland county districts of Highland Twp. and Novi Community Schools. She retired as principal of Orchard Hills School. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE, Belmont. The family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Highland View Cemetery, Big Rapids. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
