Escobar Dimitrio Cruz

Escobar Cruz, age 21, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. He will be lovingly remembered by his, parents, Anthony and Johanna Cruz; grandpa, Pedro Mercado, grandma, Carmen Cruz; siblings, Jose (Isela) Morales, Migdalia Rodriguez, Jessica (Johnny) Figueroa, Irving Cruz, Jorvanny Cruz; girl friend, Ailyn Gomez-Cervantes; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandma, Migdalia Aguirre; and cousin, Jasper Cartagena. He was a kid at heart, humble, kind, and a friend to all. Escobar will be remembered for his big smile, sense of humor, and competitive nature. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:30am, Wednesday, April 15, 2026,  at  Holy Name of Jesus, 1048 Chicago Drive.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 5-8pm at  Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming and one hour prior to the service.
