Erwin Bryant

On December 31, 1965 Erwin Atkins Bryant (a.k.a. Bug) was born to the proud parents of Erwin Atkins and Ellarene Bryant (whom preceded him in death) He accepted Christ early on in life. Erwin attended Southwestern  Church of God in Detroit Michigan.  Erwin was raised in Detroit Michigan where he attended Detroit public schools and obtained his high school diploma. Erwin loved to educate himself as well as others. He  always loved to give a helping hand.

He  then met the mother of his son Lia  Burkes from this relationship Erwin  Antonio Burkes and Alexander Xavier Burkes were born. Erwin was also a father figure to Lia’s sons Antoine Burkes (Ariane) and Kenneth Burkes (a.k.a. WANK) (whom preceded him and death) 

Erwin worked as a manager for a chain of shell gas stations. Later on in life Erwin pursued his career at Comcast cable for 10 years. He also worked for Salvation Army and Kellogg’s years later. Erwin ended  his career and Challenge Manufacturing where he was a union steward and a faithful employee. Erwin  touched souls with his motivational words, smile and kind heart.

Erwin was well known for his sense of humor and beautiful smile. He was  easy-going fun-loving and a excellent father, grandfather, uncle, brother, cousin,  great uncle and friend. Erwin touched everyone’s life and heart that he came in contact with. He was a gem  and will truly be missed. 

Erwin ( a.k.a. Bug ) leaves to cherish his loving memory two sons, Erwin  and Alexander; two sisters, April and Donnae; one brother Marcus (whom preceded him in death); eight grandchildren and a host of nieces , nephews,  great nieces , great nephews cousins, friends , his girlfriend Faith and best friend James.
