Ernest Umoh

Ernest Umoh, age 60, of Grand Rapids, MI passed away peacefully on March 31, 2021. Ernest was born on May 15, 1960 in Abak, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Ernest attended Ime Umana Law School in Nigeria but then felt called to ministry and serving God. He was an incredibly loving husband, dad, son, and friend to many. Ernest will be proudly remembered by his ministry, Strong Tower, and his kind and giving heart. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him was touched by his zest for life, incredible sense of humor, and the embodiment of God’s love. Ernest is survived by his loving wife, Emme Ekanem, and his four adoring children, Diane Labenz, Eno Umoh, Nathan Umoh, and Uduak Umoh. He was truly the best and will be deeply missed. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 11, 1 pm at Trinity Christian Reformed Church, 0-60 Port Sheldon Rd., Grandville, with officiating. Burial Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday from 4-7 pm at Trinity Christian Reformed Church.
