VAN SLYKE - Eric "Icky" R. VanSlyke aged 44 of Sparta, passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 4, 2014. He is survived by his mother, Gloria (David "Pop") Presley; father, Richard (Gloria) VanSlyke; brother, Mark (Nicole Crawford) VanSlyke; sisters, Abby (Nick) Venlet, Becky Presley; step-sisters, Kristie (Wayne) Taylor, Kim VanSlyke; aunts, Diane Foguth and Karen (Mark) Sczytko; many other relatives and close friends. Eric was a 1989 graduate of Comstock Park High School. He worked at Storage Control Systems and was passionate about his involvement in Dirt Modified Racing. A celebration of his life will be held 10:00AM Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel - Belmont, 1601 Post Dr., NE. His family will greet relatives and friends Tuesday from 4PM to 7PM at the funeral chapel. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Sparta.
