Emily Van Vuren

Emily Ruby (Nuffesse) Van Vuren, age 85, of Grandville, went to be with her Lord on Friday, July 24, 2020, after a long battle with cancer.  Emily was married to Jim Van Vuren on Dec. 1, 1954, and moved to Germany while Jim served in the army. In Germany they enjoyed traveling Europe.  After moving back to Michigan, she worked at Wurzburg's and DeWinters Nursery and started a family.  She was also active in the Grandville Senior Neighbors and was a former queen of The Red Hat Society.  Emily was also a long time member of Hope Christian Reformed Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James; son, Kenneth; sister, Maryam Nuffesse; and sister-in-law, Barb Nuffesse.  Emily will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Virginia (Jerry) Dutmers; brother, Joe Nuffesse; nephews, Mike and Linda Nuffesse, Doug and Amy Nuffesse.  Memorial services will be held a later time.  Burial Grandville Cemetery.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice.
