Emily Sue Leno, 27, of Kentwood, went to be with her Lord, on Thursday, July 21, 2022. She joins her mother, Julia Leno and grandmother, Sue Kinnucan in heaven. She will be greatly missed by her father, Gregg Leno; sisters, Tracy Leno, Stephanie (Tyler) Lewis, Frida Leno; nephew, Eli Woods; grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, her best friend, Marie Lagow, and many other friends and family.
Emily was the youngest of the infamous “Leno sisters” and nothing made her happier knowing she had three older built-in best friends no matter how far everyone lived from each other. One of Emily’s greatest joys was being promoted from sister to aunt. Her fierce love for those around her was unmatched. She was a loyal friend who wouldn’t hesitate to make a cheese joke to put a smile on someone’s face. Emily grew up attending church and into her adult life, always prioritized sharing the love and warmth of Jesus Christ with others. Her time on earth was cut short but she made a big impact on those around her.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo St. SE Kentwood, MI. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home following the gathering.
