Elva Topp

Elva LaNoria Peet Topp was born into this world on November 28, 1921 to Doris and Leon Peet of Caledonia. Elva attended school and graduated from Caledonia High School. She graduated from Kalamazoo School of Cosmetology and eventually set up Vanity Hair Designs in Lowell, Michigan. She worked and owned that business for over 40 years until retirement. Elva married James F. Topp on June 8, 1946. He left the love of his life on December 4, 1995. Elva lived at Schneider Manor until her first major stroke in December of 2012. She resided at Green Acres until her death on October 28, 2016. Elva was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, two brother and sister in laws, John Topp (Mabel) and Charles Topp (Shirley) and nephew Roger Topp. She leaves behind nieces and nephews: John Topp (Darlene) , Robert Topp (Verna May), Margaret Topp Meyers (Marlin) , Janet Topp Major (Marshall), and Michael Topp (Cathy) . And her ever faithful friend Judie Eddy. The family wishes that no flowers be sent and donations be made to Grace Hospice, 3355 Eagle Park Drive, NE, Grand Rapids, MI. 49525. Cremation has already taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Lowell First United Methodist Church, Lowell, Michigan on November 12, at 2 pm to celebrate Elva's life.
