Elizabeth Oliver

Elizabeth (Liz/Livvy) King Oliver, age 75, went to be with her lord and savior on March 11, 2020 after a battle with Alzheimer's. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ona Palmer: husband, Galen Oliver Jr.: brother-in law Jim (Lory) Bodine: sister-in-law Shirley (Foy) Palmer. Surviving are her children Galen Oliver III, Elizabeth (Dan) Lucksted, and Brian (BethAnn) Oliver: 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren: brothers Foy Palmer, John Palmer, and Joel (Susan) Palmer: sister Lory Bodine: many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Liz was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 23,1944. She grew up and attended school/church in Hazel Park, Michigan. She attended Michigan Christian College (now Rochester University) and that is where she met Galen. During her life she attended Church Of Christ (Hazel Park/Van Dyke/Troy/Romeo) and was a homemaker after getting married. Liz always had a generous and caring heart and loved to help others. She became a caregiver for a man with MS after her children were teenagers. When her grandchildren were born, she cared for them until they were in school. She also worked at Gilden Woods Early Care and Preschool for several years until the diagnosis of her Alzheimer's. The family would like to thank Pilgrim Manor and Faith Hospice for all the wonderful care, support, and love they showed Liz and her family during the last years of her life.
