Elizabeth “Betty” (Kingma) DeJonge, age 91, of Jenison, passed into glory on Friday, May 11, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Bill. She leaves behind her legacy of faith, prayer, and kindness, and will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kathy and Duaine VanDerBill, Joan and Paul Galinski, Susan and Mike Flikkema, Jayne and Jim Quist; grandchildren, Alicia Joy VanDerBill, Ryan and Alicia Kay VanDerBill, Ross and Lisa VanDerBill, Kristin and Eric Sturrus, David Galinski, Rob and Ruth Flikkema, Emily and Darrel Smith, Dan and Anna Quist, John and Heather Quist, Laura and Dave Geldersma; great grandchildren, Adelyn, Reuben, Randy, Rusty, and Rhett VanDerBill, Jacob and Autumn VanDerBill, Zach, Jon, and Nate Flikkema, Cohen and Aria Smith, Reid, Gwen, and Grant Quist, Nolan, Levi, and Jessalyn Quist, Zeke and Luke Geldersma; brother, Willard Kingma; sisters-in-law, Lee Kingma, Helen Kingma; several nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 19, at Grandville Cemetery. Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Fairway Christian Reformed Church, 1165 44th St. in Jenison, with Rev. Edward Tamminga officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, May 18, from 4 until 8 p.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Grandville Calvin Christian Education Foundation, Fairway CRC - Coffee Break Ministries, or Faith Hospice.

I feel so blessed to be able to call your mom/grandma/great-grandma my friend for many years. I loved hearing stories of all of you that I feel I know you.
