Elizabeth Ann Willard

Elizabeth “Betsy” Ann Willard, age 85, of Grand Rapids, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, July 12, 2024. Betsy was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was blessed with a generous spirit and a big heart. She was servant hearted and always put others before herself. Over the years, she enjoyed camping and loved to go mushrooming. Betsy was a longtime member of St. Jude’s Parish in Grand Rapids. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Kurz; her husband of 44 years, John Willard;  her sons, Todd Kurz, Tom Willard; her daughter, Pam Rozanski. Betsy will be lovingly remembered by her children, Don Kurz (Robin), Denise Kurz, Beth and Rob Moore, Larry and Renee Teeple, Julie and Bob Tilson; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her special nephew and niece, Dean England, Mari Maczinski; her dear friends, John and Cheryl Washburn. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont, MI, with Pastor Mitch Taylor  officiating.  Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Thursday from 3-4 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Because of the compassionate care given to Betsy, in lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be given to Faith Hospice Trillium Woods.
