Eleanor Mae DeVries

Eleanor M. DeVries (Koetsier) June 13, 1932 to December 26, 2025 of Caledonia, Michigan. Eleanor peacefully passed from the loving arms of her husband to the eternal arms of her Savior, Jesus. She was 93 years old, and had been married to her loving husband, Richard DeVries Jr., for 75 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Wilhemina Koetsier; her brother, Lawrance Koetsier;  and her sister, Wilma Kerkstra.  She is survived by her husband, Richard; children, Richard and Laurie DeVries (Rome, GA), Edward and Ivy DeVries (Kentwood, MI), and Richard and Linda Wiers (Pierson, MI).  She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Jason, Caroly, Jon, Edward Jay, Shannon, Andrea, Christopher, Brendan, James, Justice, and Tiffany; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Gary and Patricia Koetsier (Cascade), Marilyn and Emery Kosten (Cascade), Betty and Ben Brinks (Montesque); and also loving daughters-in-law,  Kim DeVries (Caledonia), and Sarah DeVries (Cascade). A Celebration of Life service will be held 11 am Friday, January 2, 2026,  at Caledonia Christiam Reformed Church, 9957 Cherry Valley Ave SE, Caledonia, with Pastor Scott Greenway officiating.  Burial will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 10-10:45 am at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation.
