Eleanor Kooienga

Eleanor Marie Kooienga, age 88, of Hudsonville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 13, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Kooienga; son, Larry Kooienga; sister, Millie Stoutjesdyk; infant grandson, Zachary Kooienga. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Gary Kooienga, Sharon Kooienga; grandchildren and great grandchildren; Steve and Colleen VanDam, Michelle Scudder (Keegan, Rylie, Connor), Jim Kooienga (Jasper), Jessica and Rod Baker (Laci), David Kooienga and Stephanie Woodwyk (Natalie, Logan), Aaron Kooienga, Ashley Kooienga, Briana Kooienga; sister, Ruth VanderWal; and grand-dog, Frank. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Fair Haven Church, 2900 Baldwin Street, Jenison, with Pastor Harvey Heneveld officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Benevolent Fund at Fair Haven Church.
