Eleanor A. Heeringa

Eleanor A. Heeringa, age 90, of Jenison, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, October 7, 2015. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess Heeringa; son, Keith E. Heeringa; great granddaughter, Annika; brothers, William Dracht, John Dracht, Tom Dracht; sisters, Kay Meekhof, Nellie Berends; brothers-in-law, George Herringa, Gerrit Meekhof, Fred Draisma, Jay Brinks, Peter Heeringa, Herm Visscher. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, William Gene (Arlys) Heeringa, Carol (Bob) Timmer, Susan Heeringa, Ginny (Rich) Verkaik; grandchildren, Jody and Dan Banister, Jane and Trevor Nydam, Jill and Dave VanNoord, Julie and Nolan VanOtterloo, Susan and Aaron Kooyer, Mary and Josh Kooyer, David and Holly Timmer, Ken and Jennifer Heeringa, Kristin and Alex Wynstra, Steve and Alison Heeringa, David and Andrea Heeringa, Rachel and Chris Calcagno, Kevin and Marianne Heeringa, Jeff and Sarah Verkaik, Chris Verkaik and Sara VanderHaagen, Scott and Abby Verkaik; 47 great grandchildren; sisters, Marie  Brinks, Wilma  Draisma; brother-in-law, Gene Berends; sisters-in-law, Ruth Heeringa, Nonie Dracht, Sadie Visscher, Gayle (Dick) Glass, Mary Dracht; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday 11:00 AM at Faith Community Christian Reformed Church, 5250 Byron Center SW, Wyoming with Rev. Robert Timmer and Rev. Rich Verkaik officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 6-8 PM at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW and Saturday from 10-11 AM prior to the service at the church. A private graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to World Renew or Faith Community Christian Reformed Church Christian Education Fund.
