Elaine W. Veenstra, age 84, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 23, 2022. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicki Zandstra; and brothers, Melvin Wierenga, and Ken and Donna Wierenga. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 66 years, Ronald Veenstra, and the love that they shared was evident to all. Also surviving are her children, Cheri and Rog Lutke, Cindy and Jim Austin, Gary Veenstra; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ruth Wierenga, Larry and Dianne Veenstra, Bernice Vodry, Aletha Rosema, Jan Veenstra, Joe and Marcia Veenstra, David and Danielle Veenstra. Elaine was a cosmetologist and enjoyed giving free family haircuts. Ron and Elaine loved to travel and took many memorable trips including their favorite trip to Israel. They also enjoyed boating and camping together. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Fellowship Reformed Church, 6610 36th Ave., Hudsonville, with Pastor Shawn Hulst officiating. Burial Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday, June 27, from 4-7 p.m. at the church and Tuesday from 1-1:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Unity Christian High School or Hudsonville Christian School.
