Edward Tuma Jr.

Tuma- Mr. Edward J. Tuma, 68, peacefully left his body and returned to the arms of the Lord on the afternoon of July 18th. He is fondly remembered by his family and friends as a local businessman and part-owner of Transnation Title, the company from which he retired. He was a loving provider for his family and a man of infallible integrity and character. He departed this world like he did everything else, bravely and on his own terms, remaining stubbornly independent and opinionated to the end. Edward is survived by his wife of 44 years, Claudette; children: Carla and Christopher Tuma; granddaughter: Aeris Tuma; sister: Kathy (Bruce) Hozeski; sisters-in-law: Carol (Jim) Gorski, Christine (Tom) DeYoung; several nieces and nephews. Edward was a long-time member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish; he also served as a Republican Delegate for Plainfield Township. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday July 24, 2015 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, 6369 Belmont Ave., Belmont MI. His family will greet relatives and friends Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr., Belmont MI.
