Edmund Dennis Kilmartin, Jr., age 102, of Caledonia, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years; Rosemary Kilmartin; son, Michael John Kilmartin; grandchildren, Heather Jo Benedict, Steven Michael Benedict; great granddaughter, Hazel Elizabeth Barron. He will be lovingly remembered by his children; Anne and Mark Azkoul, Dennis and Nancy Kilmartin, daughter-in-law, Judy Kilmartin, Patricia and Dean Benedict, Timothy and Andrea Kilmartin; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; extended family and friends. Ed was a proud World War II US Navy veteran. He retired from Doehler-Jarvis after many years of faithful service. Ed enjoyed hunting whitetail deer and fishing for bluegills. Faith was important to Ed but his family was the most important to him. He will be dearly missed. Funeral Mass will be held 11 am Monday, October 5, 2026 at Holy Family Catholic Church, with Rev. Michael Cilibraise officiating, and one hour visitation prior to Mass. Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 616 E. Main St. SE, Caledonia, with a Rosary at 7:30pm. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American SIDS Institute or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
