Edith Vis

Edith Vis, age 92, of Jenison, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, June 13, 2021. Edith had love for her family, music and singing, attending sporting events, and Tiger baseball. Most importantly she was a woman of faith and passed on that legacy to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; daughter, Marlys Vis; an infant child, Angela Vis; and great-grandbaby, Mary Lynn Brower. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Bill and Esther Vis, Randy and Sue Vis, Helaine and Henry Kamps, Jim and Meri Vis, Cal and Deb Vis; 17 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; brother, Larry and Alma Brunsting; brother-in-law, John Vis; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Faith Community Christian Reformed Church, 5250 Byron Center SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Roger Groenboom officiating. The burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, June 17, from 5-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.
