Earl Cleston La Mora, of Wyoming passed away peacefully Monday, August 10, 2026.  Earl was born in Hancock, MI to Robert Sr. & Florentine (Minnie) La Mora.  He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.  Earl graduated Wyoming Park High School and attended Ferris State University & Davenport College.  Earl proudly served in the United States Air Force.  He worked for United Parcel Service for over 30 years.  He met many wonderful people in school, during his time in the military and at UPS.

Earl met the love of his life, Doris Kutsch, during his time stationed in Tucson, Arizona.  They married and welcomed their first child, daughter Michelle, while in Arizona.  Earl and Doris were married for over 54 years.  Their marriage brought many wonderful adventures and memories to be cherished.

One thing Earl always did was show up for his family and friends.  If you needed him, all you had to do was call.  He never took his family and friends for granted.  He would frequently show up to sporting events without notice to cheer the kids in his family on.  He put together a lot of furniture that didn’t belong to him.  As well and made many trips to the airport for flights he wasn’t taking.  He was a good man.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. and Florentine La Mora; parents in law, Hubert & Darlene Kutsch; daughter, Michelle ReAnne La Mora; brothers, Robert C. La Mora Jr., Jon Richard La Mora; brother in law, Bert Kutsch; nephews, Robert A. La Mora, & Victor La Mora; great nephew, Chandler La Mora; and dear friend, Rodney Woodhall.

Earl will be fondly remembered by his loving wife, Doris (Kutsch) La Mora; daughter, Nichole La Mora;  granddaughter, Catherine La Mora; brothers, Alexander La Mora, Michael & Vita La Mora, Christopher & Elizabeth La Mora; brother in law, John & Patricia Kutsch; sister in law, Roberta Tilden;  nephews and nieces, Paul La Mora & Michelle Lee, Elizabeth & Mark Pierson, Michael & Jennifer La Mora, Lisa & Vinnie Pederson, CJ & Amber La Mora, Sarah La Mora, Jesse La Mora, Tyra & Chad Spain, and Joshua Kutsch. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, August 18 at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1048 Chicago Drive, Wyoming, MI with Rev. Stephen Dudek presiding.  Entombment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery at 1:00 pm.  Relatives and friends can meet with the family on Monday, August 17, 5-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park, Wyoming, MI. As well as at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Faith Hospice.
