Remembering Dykstra, Kathleen “Katie”

Kathleen “Katie” Dykstra, born August 29, 1948, passed away on May 31, 2017. She was survived by her loving husband, Steven Dykstra; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maureen and Carlo Forlani, Liz Callahan, Cherie and John DenBoer; nephew, Ryan Ramos; nieces, Megan Ramos, Tracy (John) Casas; nephew, Matthew DenBoer; great-niece, Cristen DenBoer. Visitation for Katie will be held on Monday from 6-9 pm at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Chapel (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE with a Rosary Service at 7:30 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 1253 – 52^nd St. SE.

Great memories of Katie from when I was younger. She was always so kind and helpful to my Mom, something I can truly appreciate as I've grown older. I remember riding our bikes along the bike trail behind your home and we would always look to stop and say hello or see if you were sitting out on the porch, because seeing Katie and hearing her loud, extremely happy laugh brought a smile to anyone who knew her.
