Dr. Lyle   Hoag

Hoag, Dr. Lyle Dr. Lyle Hoag, aged 84, of Wyoming, went to be with his Lord on Monday, May 12, 2014. He was preceded in death by his sons, John Gordon and Paul Raymond. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Marilyn; daughter, Laura (Steve) Vande Lune; grandchildren, John Steven, Jennifer (Jerry) Raynor, Bill (Shanda) Vande Lune; several great-grandchildren; and brother, Norman (Yvonne) Hoag. Dr. Lyle founded Lake Lansing Baptist Church. He was a pastor at Grace Baptist Church in River Rouge; then went on as a missionary and teacher in Puerto Rico. He then was a pastor at Rockford Baptist Church and First Baptist Church in Newtown, Pennsylvania. He worked as a Director for World Venture. In his retirement, he was an interim pastor for multiple churches. He loved his wife and family deeply, was a loyal friend, and loved and served the Lord with all his heart. To this he would add: “Thank you Lord Jesus for the gift of eternal life. To God, and only God, be ALL the glory.
