Douglas VandenBerg

Douglas VandenBerg, aged 65 of Caledonia, was called to his heavenly home on Friday, March 24, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Allison and Mildred VandenBerg. He is survived by his brother and sisters, Rick (Mary) VandenBerg, Julie (Jack) VandenBerg-Snow, Mary (Tom) Herington, Martha (John) Richardson; his K-9 companion, B.J.; and many nieces and nephews.  Doug was an affable, caring individual who loved the outdoors, bird watching, hunting and boating.  He loved living on the river and watching nature and the birds eating at his feeders.  He also enjoyed spending time traveling the world with his friends. Memorial services for Doug will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Keystone Community Church, 655 Spaulding Ave. SE, Ada, MI at 11:00 AM with visitation from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. Interment Snow Cemetery, 3194 Snow Ave. Cascade Township. Friends and relatives may meet the family Friday from 6 - 8 PM, at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 616 E. Main St., Caledonia.
