"We're all stories, in the end... just make it a good one, eh?" -the Doctor Born and raised in Ronkonkoma, New York, Doug would later move with his family to Michigan. After high school, he earned his living as a Master Automotive Technician. Next, he made his way across the country driving truck and, later, remained in the industry trading the sleeper for a desk. Most recently, he was employed as a shaman disguised as an Uber driver in a Jeep. "...think of the Uber drivers words". Doug was a flexible vegetarian, loved gourmet coffee and often preached the perils of sugar. No more Snickers and Coke. He loved playing tennis! "A good day on the tennis court is better than anything else I can think of." Doug liked sad songs and many, many, many stories of redemption. He appreciated sharp edges and an even sharper wit. Doug's path as a Spiritual Warrior drew him to Sedona. He cherished his trips and always intended to continue his transformation there. I am already given to the power that rules my fate. I cling to nothing, so I have nothing to defend. I have no thoughts, so I will See. I fear nothing, so I will remember myself. Detached and at ease, I will dart past the Eagle To be free. A celebration of Doug's life will be held Thursday 11:00 am at Stegenga Funeral Chapel - Wyoming.
