Douglas Payne,

PAYNE - Douglas "Dougy" Scott Payne aged 17 of Wyoming passed away unexpectedly Saturday June 30, 2012. Surviving are his parents, Douglas Sr., and Melissa; brother, Matthew; sister, Stacy Payne; grandparents, Carol Payne, Gerald and Bonnie Burns; uncle, Dave Payne; aunts, Sue Andrews, Cindy Sams; and many friends. Dougy enjoyed bike riding with his friends and spending time with his brother. He was a class clown and loved to make everyone laugh. He had turned his life around and overcame obstacles in this life becoming a hard worker who was always respectful to others, he was the most loving, special and one of a kind kid. Dougy was taken from us too soon but will always be remembered and never forgotten. Loved by his family and friends. We love you with all our hearts Mom, Dad and Matthew. A vigil will be held at Godwin Heights High School, 50 - 35th St., from 1 to 2:30PM Friday July 6, 2012. Funeral services will be held 1:00PM Wednesday July 11, 2012 at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave. His family will greet relatives and friends Tuesday from 6 to 8PM and one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Stegenga Funeral Chapel or through Godwin Heights Public Schools in Memory of Douglas to help the family offset funeral expenses.
