Douglas Jackson

JACKSON - Douglas Paul Jackson age 70 passed away April 20, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Elaine Jackson; son, Scott Jackson; sister, Diane Jackson. Douglas is survived by his wife of 53 years, Harlene Jackson; daughter, Julie Ann Jackson; sisters, Darlene (Chris) Crawford, Donna Crawford; brothers, David, Denny and Darwin Jackson; step-sisters, Diane Weir, Kerry (Jim) Novakowski; step-mother, Dorothy Jackson; his beloved cats, Sassy and Paddy; many nieces and nephews. Doug was a dedicated employee who recently retired from Robins Lock Shop, where he began his career in 1963. He was an avid outdoorsman and will be remembered for being a devoted husband and father, his love of hunting, fishing, being a "Jack of all Trades" and his willingness to help everyone. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel - Belmont, 1601 Post Dr. NE. His family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral chapel.
