Remembering Douglas Blouw

Douglas Alan Blouw, age 58, of Hudsonville, went to be with his Lord on Friday, November 5, 2021. Doug was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was known for his love of family, hunting, fishing, and always putting everyone else’s needs before his own. A true family man, he was hardworking, loyal, and a rock and provider for the many people he loved. He will be remembered for his loving nature, generous spirit, and his childlike excitement when discussing hunting or fishing. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 31 years, Kelly; children, Luke Blouw, Spencer Blouw, Zachary Blouw, Macey and Jeremy LaRose; grandchild, River; mother, Elaine Blouw; stepmother, Susie Blouw; sister, Melissa Schuiling; brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law, Brent Ensing, Michael and Sally Polavin, Shelly and Bryan Wilson, Todd and Jan Polavin. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Fair Haven Church, 2900 Baldwin St., Jenison, with Pastor Greg VanderMeer officiating.
