Doug Snyder, age 50, of Allendale, passed away at home on Sunday, March 31, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Doug was a kind and loving husband, dad, and son who dearly loved his family. He was blessed with a great sense of humor, was the spiritual leader of his family, and had a strong work ethic. Doug was the owner of Kenowa Plumbing in Grandville, establishing many friendships with his customers over the years. During his free time, he was always active and social, and especially loved golfing with his family and friends. Doug also loved football and was the varsity offensive line coach at Allendale High School for many years. Above all, his faith and his love for his family was evident to all who knew him. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 26 years, Shannon; children, Elijah, Zachary, and Jada Snyder; parents, Darwin and Darlene Snyder, father-in-law, Bill Feenstra; siblings, Denise and Pat Eddy, Dawn and George Jr. Berridge, Dustin and Erin Snyder; sister-in-law, Heather Momber; brother-in-law, Scott and Cindy Feenstra; many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 12, at 11 a.m. at Life Stream Church, 6561 Lake Michigan Dr, Allendale, with Pastor Josh Thurkettle officiating. The burial will be held at Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, April 11, from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf, 6651 Scott St., Allendale.
