Dorothy Lorraine Sanchez

On the morning of April 12th, 2023, Dorothy Lorraine Sanchez closed her eyes here on Earth and woke up in Heaven. Dorothy was born on June 15th, 1935. Her family will remember her quick wit, her humor, her kindness, and her love for her family. Dorothy is preceded in death by her children, Eva Kettlewell and Joe Wurfel. She will be lovingly remembered by her long term companion, John Biek; her children, Jeanette (James) Barrientos, Barb Veith, Sharon Peterson, Alvin Wurfel, Cheryl Flippo, Jean Jilote, Karen Dalrymple; as well as her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Emmanuel Hospice for their loving care for Dorothy, as well as thanks to her daughter, Jeanette and James Barrientos and her granddaughters, Jessica (Kyle) Paskiewicz and Serena Saxton, who have been the primary caregivers for Dorothy in her last years. Following Dorothy’s wishes, her funeral will take place Saturday, April 15, 11am at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Avenue, Wyoming MI. Relatives and friends may greet the family for an hour of visitation prior to the service on Saturday. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery on Monday.
