Dorothy Kollin

Dorothy Edna (Austin) Kollin, age 78, of Jenison, was called home by her Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 2, 2024. She was born on November 18, 1945, to the late Ira and Vesta Austin. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters, Bill Austin, Jerry Austin, Shirley Gibbs, and Martha Middleton. She is survived by her daughter, Tara and Jason Sebolt; three grandchildren, Madison, Caleb, and Morgan Sebolt; two brothers, Art and Brenda Austin, Bob Austin; a sister, Jane and Gerald Curtis; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Dorothy was owner and operator of her beautician business for over 40 years. She enjoyed gardening and being in her yard, crafting, and attending many of her grandchildren’s activities. She also had a knack for spoiling the granddogs. Dorothy will be remembered for the love and joy she brought everyone, especially for her daughter and her family. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 10, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to a charity of their choosing.
